- Traffic Exchanges-Traffic Exchanges are websites that credit its members for surfing other members websites for exposure. Each member intends to find another member interested in the website content enough to purchase or signup. Credits can also be bought or earned through TE referrals. - Referral Exchanges-Referral Exchanges are websites that work similar to traffic exchanges in that you can surf its members websites to earn credits. The main difference is that you can also get credits from referral exchanges by signing up for other members programs. These better facilitate PTC referral trades. - Viral Marketing-Viral marketing is a marketing campaign that features websites which can only be featured if the marketer clicks the other websites listed on the site. The concept of this is, if all six people are marketing his or her viral referral link, each featured website will get more exposure with less work. This method can be useful if coupled with the more advanced referral methods.
- Relevant Forums-Forums are areas of several websites where it's member get the opportunity to ask & answer questions amongst themselves about issues relevant to the website. The best way to capitalize off these sites is to only post on forums that are related to making money online. Under the tab 'Relevant Forums,' I have links to several of these sites.
- Social Media-Social media consists of sites like Facebook.com, Myspace.com, Twitter.com etc. It will also include social bookmarking sites like StumbleUpon.com, Digg.com, etc. When using this medium for marketing your able to reach the millions of members without having to spend any money. Social Bookmarking allows you to feature your site with all of your referral links(which is the most time and labor efficent to advertising your referral links) to several readers interested in your "type" of content. There are several tutorials online to create functional marketing campaigns to effectively attract referral to your PTC business.
- Free Classified Ads-Free Classified ads are a great way to attract unassuming referrals without spending any(or much) money. These consist of sites such as Craigslist.org, Backpage.com, etc. Several of these allow you to use HTML to promote your site for free and others require a small investment for this feature. Under 'Free Classified Ads' there is a link with my Top Ten Free Classified Ads sites.
